Academic Development

As a specialist in special education and a certified dyscalculia trainer, I provide academic support through Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs). These plans incorporate attention training, multi-sensory skill development, and targeted symptom support to help learners build strong foundations and lasting confidence. My approach is designed to reduce school-related anxiety, foster self-belief, and ignite a genuine love of learning through real-life examples and interactive, hands-on activities.

Key benefits:

  • Personalised strategies tailored to support diverse learning profiles
  • Reduced school-related anxiety and improved learner confidence
  • Strengthened foundational academic skills in literacy and numeracy
  • Enhanced problem-solving and logical thinking abilities
  • Improved real-world application of learning concepts
Emotional Resilience & Stress Management

I help children develop emotional regulation, stress management, and positive behaviour habits through a holistic coaching approach. Using evidence-based practices—such as yoga, mindfulness, creative expression, and movement — I support them in building resilience and understanding their emotions. My coaching also addresses stress triggers, academic overload, motivation, and attention challenges, equipping children with practical tools to stay calm and focused. Through a blend of indoor and outdoor activities, I offer a safe, nurturing space where they can explore their feelings, build self-mastery, and grow in confidence.

Key benefits:

  • Enhance self-awareness and emotional control
  • Reduce anxiety, frustration, and meltdowns
  • Build confidence and social skills
  • Support children with diverse abilities with tailored strategies
  • Equip children with lifelong coping skills for learning and daily life

Parent & Caregiver Support Programme

Our Parent and Caregiver Support Programme (PCSP), developed by Xiaolei Lu, founder of Colourful Journeys Education Centre, is a series of engaging workshops covering essential areas such as self-care, stress reduction, communication, problem-solving, developing key life skills and building strong, respectful relationships. These services are available as group workshops or personalised coaching sessions, offered in both Chinese and English, in person or online.

Whether your child experiences developmental, neurological, physical, or sensory differences — such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, or challenges related to mobility, communication, cognition, or sensory processing — PCSP equips parents and caregivers with evidence-based tools and practical strategies to navigate daily challenges, support their child’s unique development, and nurture their own wellbeing.

Special relevance and benefits by caregiver groups

This programme provides practical, adaptable strategies to meet everyday challenges at home. Explore how it benefits families with diverse caregiving needs:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Create calm, predictable environments that support sensory needs, regulation, and connection through mindfulness and visuals.
  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): Build focus, manage impulses, and reduce stress with movement, task chunking, visual tools, and strengths-based praise.
  • Dyslexia & Dyscalculia: Use multi-sensory methods to support learning and confidence—through rhythm, visuals, tactile tools, and calming strategies.
  • Physical Disabilities: Promote independence and resilience with adapted routines, mobility supports, and affirming, choice-based communication.
  • Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities: Strengthen life skills and daily routines with simplified communication, positive scaffolding, and consistent affirmation.

What makes this programme stand out

Built on trust, backed by research, and powered by compassion, PCSP is designed to meet real-world needs with practical tools, emotional support, and expert guidance every step of the way. Here’s what truly sets us apart:

  • Purpose-driven, impact-focused: We prioritise compassion over profit. A portion of all proceeds supports charities dedicated to the wellbeing of children and youth.
  • Holistic and personalised: Our approach supports families across academic, emotional, behavioural, and developmental areas with strategies tailored to each child’s and family’s unique needs.
  • Evidence-based and practical: Every session is grounded in research and designed to offer hands-on, ready-to-use strategies that build caregiver confidence and skill.
  • Community support: Parents and caregivers gain access to expert-led circles, peer connections, and a trusted support network that continues beyond the sessions.
  • Curated take-home resources: Participants receive workbooks and home-based activities to extend learning and growth long after each session.
